Spring Valley, NY, (May 26, 2016): Wickes/arborists™, a third-generation, family owned tree, lawn and landscape care company, has joined the Team of Experts at Robolliance, a forum for technology partners and industry experts in robotics, surveillance and security. As a principal of Wickes/arborists™, John Wickes makes it his mission to employ cutting edge technology to inject efficiency into every day operations.
The arborists at Wickes/arborists™ are using a new technology called the ArborSonic 3D Acoustic Tomograph to help gauge the interior condition of a tree. It is a minimally invasive way to detect the size and location of decayed or hollow parts in tree trunks, and is made up of several sensors that allow it to evaluate the structural integrity of a tree based on sound velocity.
Wickes said this is a precise and revolutionary method to take care of trees in the 21st century. “This is another way to diagnose trees in a do-no-harm first approach while providing high quality tree care service to our customers”.
“It is a new, cutting edge standard in tree diagnostics,” said John Wickes. “There are very few arborist firms that embrace technology. Wickes/arborists™ is just the opposite. We are a third generation company that embraces Green sustainability and uses today’s new inventions for the benefit of bringing a better, more precise product to market in an industry that has very little in the way of new technological breakthroughs.”
